Friendly Users / Reference Connections Policy
As part of our ongoing commitment to service quality, network reliability, and continuous improvement, Cosmos Wireless operates a limited Friendly User (Reference Connection) programme.
Friendly Users are selected individuals or locations where a non-commercial reference internet connection may be provided for the purpose of network testing, validation, and quality assurance, particularly in areas with complex radio, geographic, or infrastructure conditions.
These reference connections help Cosmos Wireless:
-
Verify network performance and availability in real-world conditions
-
Cross-check monitoring data during incidents or reported outages
-
Identify and resolve technical issues proactively
-
Improve overall service reliability for all customers
Selection criteria
Friendly Users are not selected at random. Participants are chosen based on their ability to:
-
Understand basic networking or connectivity concepts
-
Accurately observe and describe service behaviour
-
Distinguish between local issues (e.g. power, Wi-Fi, equipment) and wider network events
-
Communicate observations clearly and reliably when requested
This ensures that feedback received through the programme is objective, technically meaningful, and operationally useful.
Important clarifications:
-
Friendly User connections are not standard commercial subscriptions
-
They carry no Service Level Agreement (SLA)
-
They are not guaranteed to be uninterrupted
-
They do not qualify for compensation
-
They may be modified, restricted, or withdrawn at any time at the discretion of Cosmos Wireless
Responsibilities of Friendly Users:
Friendly Users agree to:
-
Provide honest, accurate, and timely feedback when requested
-
Report observed service issues to the best of their technical understanding
-
Understand that the connection is provided solely for testing and evaluation purposes
-
Accept that the service may be interrupted during testing, maintenance, or fault investigation
Participation in the Friendly User programme does not confer any special commercial, contractual, or preferential status, and is not linked to any form of influence, benefit, or obligation.
This programme reflects standard operational practices used by network operators to ensure service quality, stability, and integrity, particularly in sensitive or technically demanding environments.
